1. Navigate to Benchmarking.
2. Click Pay Structures.
3. Click + Create a Structure.
4. Select the compensation type for the structure.
5. Click Next
6. Select what the ranges will be based on.
7. Click Next.
8. If necessary, select a pay market and click Next.
9. Choose the job function, job families, or job levels for the structure.
10. In this Example, the Pay Structure is created for levels so the levels are selected from the dropdown menu.
11. Click Next.
12. To create a Pay Structure manually, select Manually.
13. Click Next.
14. Select Use Existing.
15. Select a range basis from the dropdown menu.
16. Select Enter Mid to manually input the starting midpoint and the range to assign it to. Optionally, midpoint differential, range spread and rounding choice can be selected.
17. Input Start Ranges From and Mid:
- Example 1: if the first range should have a midpoint of $50,000, then Start Ranges From should be 1 and the Mid should be $50,000.
- Example 2: if the fifth range should have a midpoint of $100,000, then Start Ranges From should be 5 and the Mid should be $100,000.
18. To generate the ranges, click on Generate Ranges.
19. Click Next.
20. Input a name for the range.
21. Scroll down and click Save Ranges to save the pay structure.
22. You will be redirected to the Pay Structures page where you'll receive a message that the ranges were saved successfully.
23. To view the ranges, select the name of the pay structure you just created from the Pay Structures dropdown.
24. Confirm that the ranges have been successfully created for the pay structure.
